An interesting model, who I dubbed "Death",
He was gaunt and quiet. Not a "grim reaper".

Dad dies

Probably seems morbid to most.
I needed to record the moment.

The day my father died...I was at school (University) and got a call......Mom can be very "cryptic" and she just said : "his nails are turning blue"...I knew what she meant...and raced home. He had basically died already, at home. Oddly, as I stood there his body let out his last breath.....which was quite eerie and powerful thing to witness. I sketched him there...several sketches...one I later gave to the Hospice nurse, Ingrid when she requested it.
Mom dies >
Pencil drawing.
